We welcome you to walk the labyrinth on our campus! What is a labyrinth? It’s a simple maze that invites you to take a walking meditation. What can this help us do?
Let’s look at each part of the journey.
As you walk into the labyrinth, your time is spent slowly releasing the things that are distracting you from being in God’s presence – worries, concerns, burdens, things you have been trying to control. The essence of the journey to the center of the labyrinth is Letting Go.
Here at the cross, your time is spent with Jesus, communing with the One who loves you. This is where God begins to put the pieces back together for you and where Jesus speaks words of affirmation and encouragement. The essence of being in the center of the labyrinth is Receiving.
As you follow the path out of the labyrinth and back into the world, your time is spent reflecting on how you are better prepared to re-enter your life because of the refreshment you have received. The essence of the journey outward is Remembering that God is always with us.
